Blue is a Folk act. Their sound grew out of Dead or Alive and B*Witched. Those roots explain a lot about how Blue arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Westlife, Five, A1, Craig David and Ronan Keating, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into M. Pokora, Gary Numan, Elva Hsiao, LeAnn Rimes and Shaan, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 34 connections around Blue, reaching back through Dead or Alive and forward to M. Pokora. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
