Busted is a Punk rock act. Their sound grew out of BBMak, JoJo, Pierre Bouvier, Blink-182 and Good Charlotte. Those roots explain a lot about how Busted arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Son of Dork, Scouting for Girls, You Me at Six, Five and Kids in Glass Houses, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Orla Gartland, Jonas Brothers, 5 Seconds of Summer, Lewis Capaldi and McFly, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 46 connections around Busted, reaching back through BBMak and forward to Orla Gartland.
