Lord Huron is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Liz Cooper, Phoebe Bridgers, The Band, Neil Young and My Morning Jacket. Those roots explain a lot about how Lord Huron arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Gregory Alan Isakov, The Lumineers, Caamp, Mt. Joy and Mumford & Sons, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Racing Mount Pleasant, Kacey Musgraves, Joan Franka, Leith Ross and Phoebe Bridgers, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 34 connections around Lord Huron, reaching back through Liz Cooper and forward to Racing Mount Pleasant. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
