Mahogany
Mahogany is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Astrobrite, Auburn Lull, Ulrich Schnauss, Majesty Crush and Kurt Weill. Those roots explain a lot about how Mahogany arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Moose, Pia Fraus, All Natural Lemon & Lime Flavors, Rumskib and Lilys, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Vampire Weekend, Clinic, Luna, Broadcast and Spoon, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 50 connections around Mahogany, reaching back through Astrobrite and forward to Vampire Weekend. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
