Master is a Death metal act. Their sound grew out of Aria and Krabathor. Those roots explain a lot about how Master arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Cancer, Malevolent Creation, Sinister, Pungent Stench and Unleashed, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Terrorizer, Pungent Stench, Chris Reifert and Severed Survival, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 17 connections around Master, reaching back through Aria and forward to Terrorizer.
