Orgy is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Elementree, Stabbing Westward, Troy Van Leeuwen, New Order and Korn. Those roots explain a lot about how Orgy arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Machines of Loving Grace, Snake River Conspiracy, Kidneythieves, Powerman 5000 and Genitorturers, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Dead by Sunrise and Rammstein, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 32 connections around Orgy, reaching back through Elementree and forward to Dead by Sunrise. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
