Geils Band, Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band, John Mellencamp, Traffic and Robert Plant, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Mick Jagger, Alex Lifeson, Paul Simonon, Mike McCready and Nursery Cryme, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation.
