Randy Rhoads is a Heavy metal act. Their sound grew out of Mountain, Ozzy, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Leslie West. Those roots explain a lot about how Randy Rhoads arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Ozzy Osbourne, Quiet Riot, Metallica, Steve Vai and W.A.S.P., sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Spineshank, Kerry King, Night Ranger, Paul Gilbert and Tom Morello, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 45 connections around Randy Rhoads, reaching back through Mountain and forward to Spineshank.
