Rhapsody of Fire is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica, Kamelot, Orden Ogan and Powerslave. Those roots explain a lot about how Rhapsody of Fire arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Rhapsody, Twilight Force, Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica and Freedom Call, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Epica, Kamelot, Majestica, Beast in Black and Nanowar of Steel, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 32 connections around Rhapsody of Fire, reaching back through Stratovarius and forward to Epica. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
