Blind Guardian

Blind Guardian is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Van Canto, Helloween, Queen, Symphony X and Wacken Open Air. Those roots explain a lot about how Blind Guardian arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Demons & Wizards, Helloween, Rhapsody, Edguy and Avantasia, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Freedom Call, Sabaton, DragonForce, Demons & Wizards and Angus McSix, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 45 connections around Blind Guardian, reaching back through Van Canto and forward to Freedom Call. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
