The Black Heart Procession

The Black Heart Procession is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Eluvium, J Mascis, The Books, Three Mile Pilot and Matt Elliott. Those roots explain a lot about how The Black Heart Procession arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Piano Magic, Madrugada, The For Carnation, Karate and The American Analog Set, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Ugly Casanova and Three Mile Pilot, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 28 connections around The Black Heart Procession, reaching back through Eluvium and forward to Ugly Casanova. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
