The Vibrators

Punk rock
Punk rock

The Vibrators is a Punk rock act. Their sound grew out of Count Five, Chris Spedding, The Fixx, Alex Chilton and The Motors. Those roots explain a lot about how The Vibrators arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Dead Boys, Stiff Little Fingers, The Adverts, Peter and the Test Tube Babies and Buzzcocks, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Vader, Eskorbuto, GBH, The Exploited and Stiff Little Fingers, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 32 connections around The Vibrators, reaching back through Count Five and forward to Vader. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
