The Lightning Seeds

Synth-pop

The Lightning Seeds is a Synth-pop act. Their sound grew out of Zak Starkey, Prince, The Beautiful South and Alison Moyet. Those roots explain a lot about how The Lightning Seeds arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Ocean Colour Scene, Shed Seven, Cast, James and The Beautiful South, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Miles Kane, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 24 connections around The Lightning Seeds, reaching back through Zak Starkey and forward to Miles Kane. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
