Aborym is a Black metal act. Their sound grew out of Iron Maiden, Morbid, Rotting Christ, Darkthrone and Pink Floyd. Those roots explain a lot about how Aborym arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Mysticum, Thorns, Setherial, Antaeus and Abigor, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Demonoir, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 28 connections around Aborym, reaching back through Iron Maiden and forward to Demonoir.
