◇ image via WikipediaAiden
Aiden is a Emo and Punk rock act. Their sound grew out of Bayside, Get Scared, Drop Dead, Gorgeous, Victory Records and Silverstein. Those roots explain a lot about how Aiden arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as LoveHateHero, Hopes Die Last, The Used, Drop Dead, Gorgeous and Escape the Fate, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into I Set My Friends On Fire, Anti-Flag, Emanuel, HIM and Lostprophets, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 40 connections around Aiden, reaching back through Bayside and forward to I Set My Friends On Fire.
