Lostprophets is a Punk rock and Rap act. Their sound grew out of Nine Inch Nails, Metallica, Green Day, The Clash and Live. Those roots explain a lot about how Lostprophets arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Madina Lake, InMe, Hoobastank, Funeral for a Friend and Trapt, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into The Darkness and The Blackout, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 71 connections around Lostprophets, reaching back through Nine Inch Nails and forward to The Darkness.
