Brody Dalle

Brody Dalle is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Courtney Love, Bikini Kill, Black Flag, Discharge and Flipper. Those roots explain a lot about how Brody Dalle arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Spinnerette, Pretty Vicious, Garbage, Skunk Anansie and Bif Naked, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into New Found Glory, Transplants, Travis Barker, Eagles of Death Metal and Queens of the Stone Age, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 51 connections around Brody Dalle, reaching back through Courtney Love and forward to New Found Glory.
