Central Line is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of The Real Thing, Roy Ayers and Fat Larry's Band. Those roots explain a lot about how Central Line arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Change, Imagination, Kleeer, Loose Ends and Fatback Band, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Imagination, Light of the World and Simple Minds, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 36 connections around Central Line, reaching back through The Real Thing and forward to Imagination.
