Coco Jones is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Brandy Norwood, Mavo, Beyoncé, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. Those roots explain a lot about how Coco Jones arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Chlöe, Muni Long, Kiana Ledé, FLO and Keke Palmer, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Ayra Starr, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 47 connections around Coco Jones, reaching back through Brandy Norwood and forward to Ayra Starr. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
