Crystal Fighters

Indie rockSynth-pop

Crystal Fighters is a Indie rock and Synth-pop act. Their sound grew out of Skream, The Velvet Underground, Roosevelt, Luciano and Madlib. Those roots explain a lot about how Crystal Fighters arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Youngblood Hawke, The Chain Gang of 1974, Two Door Cinema Club, Miike Snow and Miami Horror, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Bomba Estéreo and Rudimental, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 32 connections around Crystal Fighters, reaching back through Skream and forward to Bomba Estéreo. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
