Rudimental

Drum and bass

Rudimental is a Drum and bass act. Their sound grew out of Emeli Sandé, Bastille, Kyle Watson, Crystal Fighters and Jae5. Those roots explain a lot about how Rudimental arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Sigma, Wilkinson, Hybrid Minds, Sigala and Friction, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Jack Ü, Foy Vance, Six60, MNEK and Ed Sheeran, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 43 connections around Rudimental, reaching back through Emeli Sandé and forward to Jack Ü. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
