Divine

Pop
Pop

Divine is a Pop act. Their sound grew out of Raja Kumari, George Michael, Sidhu Moose Wala, Stock Aitken Waterman and Zombie Nation. Those roots explain a lot about how Divine arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as The Flirts, Modern Talking, Stacey Q, Ken Laszlo and Sabrina, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Karan Aujla, Alaska Thunderfuck, Bronski Beat, Alaska Thunderfuck 5000 and Ministry, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 38 connections around Divine, reaching back through Raja Kumari and forward to Karan Aujla. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
