Eagles

Eagles is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Yes, Ricky Nelson, Tom Waits, Wishbone Ash and James Gang. Those roots explain a lot about how Eagles arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Dire Straits, Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band, Steve Miller Band, Rod Stewart and Journey, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Ian Matthews, Little Texas, Kerry King, JT and Michael Jackson, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 61 connections around Eagles, reaching back through Yes and forward to Ian Matthews. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
