Trip hop

Fever Ray is a Trip hop act. Their sound grew out of Miss Kittin, The Knife, Marcel Dettmann, Peaches and PJ Harvey. Those roots explain a lot about how Fever Ray arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as The Knife, iamamiwhoami, Róisín Murphy, Hercules and Love Affair and Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Altogether the chart holds 34 connections around Fever Ray, reaching back through Miss Kittin. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
