Peaches is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Kurt Weill, Franz Ferdinand, Karen O, Trevor Jackson and Electronica 2: The Heart of Noise. Those roots explain a lot about how Peaches arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Fischerspooner, Felix da Housecat, Tiga, The Knife and Robots in Disguise, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into The Veronicas, Joan Jett, Feist, Eagles of Death Metal and Look What You Made Me Do, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 64 connections around Peaches, reaching back through Kurt Weill and forward to The Veronicas. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
