Gonjasufi

Gonjasufi is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Jeremiah Jae, The Gaslamp Killer, Ras G, George Clinton and Flying Lotus. Those roots explain a lot about how Gonjasufi arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Daedelus, Ras G, Flying Lotus, Shabazz Palaces and Gold Panda, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into L'Orange, Mr. Lif, Ras G, The Gaslamp Killer and AWOL ONE, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 30 connections around Gonjasufi, reaching back through Jeremiah Jae and forward to L'Orange. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
