Antipop Consortium

Antipop Consortium is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Roots Manuva, Kool Keith, MF DOOM and Aesop Rock. Those roots explain a lot about how Antipop Consortium arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Company Flow, Edan, El-P, Dabrye and Busdriver, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Bright Eyes, The Faint, Public Enemy, Radiohead and DJ Shadow, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 32 connections around Antipop Consortium, reaching back through Roots Manuva and forward to Bright Eyes. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
