Mandy Moore is a Alternative rock and Country act. Their catalogue also touches Country pop, Dance-pop and Folk. Their sound grew out of Michelle Branch, New Radicals, The Weepies, John Feldmann and Capital Cities. Those roots explain a lot about how Mandy Moore arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ashlee Simpson, M2M and Michelle Branch, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Delta Goodrem and Jimmy Eat World, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 45 connections around Mandy Moore, reaching back through Michelle Branch and forward to Delta Goodrem. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
