Morcheeba is a Electronic and Trip hop act. Their sound grew out of Roy Davis Jr., Bahamadia, Reflection Eternal, Jim White and Cool Calm Pete. Those roots explain a lot about how Morcheeba arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Tricky, Thievery Corporation, DJ Vadim, Massive Attack and Moloko, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Becoming X and Hooverphonic, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 24 connections around Morcheeba, reaching back through Roy Davis Jr. and forward to Becoming X.
