Pom Pom Squad is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Prince, FKA twigs and Nada Surf. Those roots explain a lot about how Pom Pom Squad arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as illuminati hotties, Mannequin Pussy, Indigo De Souza, Weakened Friends and Blondshell, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into PUP, illuminati hotties, Fenne Lily, Poppy and MisterWives, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 40 connections around Pom Pom Squad, reaching back through Prince and forward to PUP. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
