MisterWives is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Joywave, Lawrence, Pom Pom Squad, The Royal Concept and The Greeting Committee. Those roots explain a lot about how MisterWives arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Mothica, Walk the Moon, Smallpools, Bishop Briggs and Flor, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Twenty One Pilots, Half Moon Run, Bleachers, The Mowgli's and Walk the Moon, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 49 connections around MisterWives, reaching back through Joywave and forward to Twenty One Pilots. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
