Snakehips is a Electronic act. Their sound grew out of ZAYN, Zayn Malik and Tom Aspaul. Those roots explain a lot about how Snakehips arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Clean Bandit, Whethan, Jonas Blue, SG Lewis and Kygo, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into MNEK, Banks, Wild Belle and The Weeknd, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 33 connections around Snakehips, reaching back through ZAYN and forward to MNEK.
