LMFAO is a Dance-pop and Electropop act. Their catalogue also touches Hip hop, Pop and Synth-pop. Their sound grew out of The Crystal Method, Mala Rodríguez, I Am the Best, Zankoku na Tenshi no Tēze and Cartel. Those roots explain a lot about how LMFAO arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Redfoo, will.i.am, Flo Rida, Taio Cruz and David Guetta, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?), Walk off the Earth, Play-N-Skillz, Eva Simons and Rye Rye, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 62 connections around LMFAO, reaching back through The Crystal Method and forward to The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?). Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
