They run in the same orbit as Method Man, GZA/Genius, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Raekwon and Ghostface Killah, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, Roots, Action Bronson, JID and Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 137 connections around Wu-Tang Clan, reaching back through King Floyd and forward to The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.
