◇ image via WikipediaNERVO
NERVO is a Dance-pop act. Their sound grew out of Timmy Trumpet, Nicky Romero, Ansel Elgort, Krewella and Dev. Those roots explain a lot about how NERVO arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Yves V, Alesso, Afrojack, Thomas Gold and Don Diablo, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Rachel Stevens, Kana Nishino, Kesha, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Ashley Tisdale, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 53 connections around NERVO, reaching back through Timmy Trumpet and forward to Rachel Stevens.
