Teddybears is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of SKULL, Kraftwerk, Ramones, The Flaming Lips and The B-52's. Those roots explain a lot about how Teddybears arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as bob hund, Johnossi, Shout Out Louds, Shiny Toy Guns and Den Svenska Björnstammen, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Cutty Ranks, Thomas Rusiak, Mapei, Beenie Man and Gorilla Zoe, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 48 connections around Teddybears, reaching back through SKULL and forward to Cutty Ranks. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
