Alias

Alias is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Subtle, Heart, Josh Martinez, Doseone and The Notwist. Those roots explain a lot about how Alias arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Sole, Subtle, Buck 65, Why? and Doseone, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into The Cranberries and Dolores O'Riordan, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 28 connections around Alias, reaching back through Subtle and forward to The Cranberries. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
