AlunaGeorge is a Contemporary R&B and Electronic act. Their catalogue also touches Rhythm and blues, Synth-pop and Trip hop. Their sound grew out of Flume, Shift K3Y, Disclosure, Tom Aspaul and Rae Sremmurd. Those roots explain a lot about how AlunaGeorge arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Abra, Banks, Friendly Fires, Kaytranada and La Roux, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Riton, Jack Ü and DJ Snake, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 48 connections around AlunaGeorge, reaching back through Flume and forward to Riton.
