Angra

Angra is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Karma, Kate Bush, Judas Priest, Stratovarius and Bruce Dickinson. Those roots explain a lot about how Angra arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Shaman, Helloween, Symphony X, Stratovarius and Massacration, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Epica, Freedom Call, Megadeth, Massacration and Shaman, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 41 connections around Angra, reaching back through Karma and forward to Epica. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
