Behemoth is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Nile, Deicide, Satyricon, Vader and Dies Irae. Those roots explain a lot about how Behemoth arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Satyricon, Dimmu Borgir, Dark Funeral, Rotting Christ and Cradle of Filth, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Azarath, DevilDriver, Infected Rain, Havok and SosMula, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 73 connections around Behemoth, reaching back through Nile and forward to Azarath. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
