Boys Noize is a Techno act. Their sound grew out of Skrillex, DJ Mehdi, Ed Banger Records, Sensual Seduction and Robert Hood. Those roots explain a lot about how Boys Noize arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Mr. Oizo, Gesaffelstein, Siriusmo, Justice and Tiga, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Lady Gaga, Kelis, Kano, BigBang and Scissor Sisters, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 55 connections around Boys Noize, reaching back through Skrillex and forward to Lady Gaga.
