Lady Gaga is a Dance-pop and Electropop act. Their catalogue also touches Pop and Synth-pop. Their sound grew out of Rhythm Nation, David Guetta, Sofi Tukker, Madeon and Purple Disco Machine. Those roots explain a lot about how Lady Gaga arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Ke$ha, Miley Cyrus, Madonna, Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Original Me, Dirty Picture, John Summit, deadmau5 and LSDXOXO, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 245 connections around Lady Gaga, reaching back through Rhythm Nation and forward to Original Me. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
