Justice is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Mystery Jets, Thundercat, Ye, Breakbot and Ed Banger Records. Those roots explain a lot about how Justice arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Daft Punk, Mr. Oizo, Gesaffelstein, Cassius and Kavinsky, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Happy, Wale, Cavalera Conspiracy, Boys Noize and Carpenter Brut, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 73 connections around Justice, reaching back through Mystery Jets and forward to Happy. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
