Dispatch is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Sublime and Rx Bandits. Those roots explain a lot about how Dispatch arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Guster, Donavon Frankenreiter, The Beautiful Girls, O.A.R. and Dave Matthews Band, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into O.A.R., State Radio, Dave Matthews Band and Guster, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 34 connections around Dispatch, reaching back through Sublime and forward to O.A.R.. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
