Liberty X is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of The Human League, Mantronix, Run–D.M.C., Shalamar and Chic. Those roots explain a lot about how Liberty X arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Sugababes, The Saturdays, Rachel Stevens, Honeyz and All Saints, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Run, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 37 connections around Liberty X, reaching back through The Human League and forward to Run.
