Of Monsters and Men

Of Monsters and Men is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Until the Ribbon Breaks and Mumford & Sons. Those roots explain a lot about how Of Monsters and Men arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Mumford & Sons, The Lumineers, Lord Huron, Bear's Den and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Sam Tsui, Half Moon Run, Alex & Sierra and Highasakite, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 31 connections around Of Monsters and Men, reaching back through Until the Ribbon Breaks and forward to Sam Tsui. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
