Skrape is an act on the Starverb influence map. Their sound grew out of Genitorturers, Life of Agony, Deftones, Iron Maiden and Kiss. Those roots explain a lot about how Skrape arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Nothingface, From Zero, Dry Kill Logic, 40 Below Summer and Coal Chamber, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Dark New Day, Evanescence, Dope, Nothingface and Primer 55, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 33 connections around Skrape, reaching back through Genitorturers and forward to Dark New Day. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
