X Ambassadors is a Rap act. Their sound grew out of Anthony Rossomando, Teddy Swims, K.Flay, Aja Volkman and Jamie N Commons. Those roots explain a lot about how X Ambassadors arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as American Authors, BANNERS, Tom Walker, Bishop Briggs and AWOLNATION, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Arkells, Lizzo and Jacob Banks, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 47 connections around X Ambassadors, reaching back through Anthony Rossomando and forward to Arkells.
