David Crosby

Rock
Rock

David Crosby is a Rock act. Their sound grew out of Vic Briggs, Fred Neil, Jerry Miller, Manassas and Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit. Those roots explain a lot about how David Crosby arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Buffalo Springfield, The Stills-Young Band and Neil Young & Crazy Horse, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Chet Powers, Ravi Shankar, Jessica Pratt, The Stills-Young Band and Galliano, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 50 connections around David Crosby, reaching back through Vic Briggs and forward to Chet Powers. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
