Peeping Tom

Trip hop
Trip hop

Peeping Tom is a Trip hop act. Their sound grew out of Imani Coppola and Dr. Dooom. Those roots explain a lot about how Peeping Tom arrange songs and choose their tones. They run in the same orbit as Fantômas, Handsome Boy Modeling School, Les Claypool, Puscifer and UNKLE, sharing audiences, venues and reference points rather than a straight line of influence. Their influence carried into Björk, Norah Jones, Bebel Gilberto, Dan the Automator and Rahzel, where the same ideas turn up rearranged for a later generation. Altogether the chart holds 33 connections around Peeping Tom, reaching back through Imani Coppola and forward to Björk. Follow any of those threads to keep travelling the influence between bands and genres on Starverb.
